OCRA seeks advisory committee memberThrough the Office of Clients’ Rights Advocacy (OCRA), PAI provides clients’ rights advocacy services to consumers of California’s 21 regional centers. The Department of Developmental Services funds OCRA. OCRA’s advisory committee oversees the program and helps to assure that services meet the needs of Californians with developmental disabilities. The seven advisory committee members are people who have developmental disabilities, or are family members of a person with developmental disabilities, or are members of a group that has an interest in developmental disabilities. One vacancy on advisory committeeOCRA currently has one vacancy for a two-year term. If you wish to apply: • Call 1-800-390-7032 to request an application packet; or • Print out the packet from PAI’s Web site at www.pai-ca.org/OCRA. Applications due August 1, 2001Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on August 1, 2001. OCRA will review all applications and forward names of eligible candidates to PAI’s board of directors.
